Granola Recipe #2: Cinnamon & Apple Granola
Loaded with warm spices, chunks of walnuts and crunchy quinoa. This is the perfect breakfast staple. Making my 1 year old scream impatiently and point a finger at the granola jar every morning…
Welcome my Bread Friend!
Have you ever made your own granola? I have been making it for years now, and will teach you how to make the most perfect, toasted and crunchy granola.
My granola craze started several years ago with my best-selling recipe: Ginger & Honey Granola and I will share many more in this new Granola Series.
Did you miss the first one?
Granola Recipe no. 1: Cashew & Quinoa Crunch
I really never buy granola anymore — mainly because of the costs, hidden ingredients (refined sugar-I’m pointing a finger at you!) and being able to make it myself in just 30 minutes with only 1 bowl to clean and maybe a pot and spoon!
What I like about this recipe, is the added sweetness from the apple together with the warm spices! And the toasted, honey glazed walnuts are the ones everyone’s going for!
I like to stock up before the weekend and double up on the recipe (for a family of 4) because my kids and husband go a bit nuts — eating granola by the handfull as a snack, over Greek yoghurt or with milk for breakfast or sprinkled over vanilla ice cream for dessert (surprised about that one?).
Thank you for being here — now let’s dig into the recipe below!
xx
