Sourdough Brioche Buns with Vanilla Custard, Streusel & Seasonal Berries
THIS is Scandinavian spring baking at its best — and would be the perfect centrepiece for your Easter table.
Welcome Here Bread Friend!
Spring is arriving quite slowly in most areas, so I find it fitting to share this recipe that looks like happy sunshine in a bun! — also the perfect centrepiece for your Easter table.
This recipe has been brewing in my head for a while — The main focus behind creating this recipe was to experience the perfect combination of flavor AND texture in every-single-bite!

These are my pillowy soft Sourdough Brioche buns, spiced with freshly ground cardamom for that extra “uuumph” flavor when you bite into a seed, coated with a Cinnamon Streusel which gives a sweet crunchy crust, baked with Vanilla Custard for that creamy texture while also topping it with a whipped Custard and Berries for that fresh contrast in flavor and texture — AND they are perfectly sized so you experience absolute heaven in every bite!
